Happy Friday, Peeps! How is your Friday going?
But, let me first tell you about my night. If you know me or have read my bio, you know that I am raising my nephews and niece along with my daughter. My oldest nephew is about 6 months older than my daughter and they are in the same grade….which is now entering middle school. So, last night my nephew had his friend over and well, you could tell there was some crushing going on between my daughter and this boy. I had to pick up my daughter from track practice so decided to pick up a friend for my nephew at the same time. When we got home, she showered and came down with lip gloss on (because her lips were chapped- RIIIIIIGGGHHHHTT!) and then this boy would come and check on her every few minutes asking her over and over to come and play nerf guns with him. It was all so cute! My Belz is more the climbing trees and playing with legos kinda girl instead of the barbies and boys type, if you know what I mean. I hope that continues for at least a few more years. She is only 11 for goodness sake!

Good Morning! How is everyone doing? It is absolutely gorgeous here in New Hampshire. We have hit a little cooler spell and the morning run is SO much better with out the heat and humidity.
SO, I don’t know about you but I am SO ready for the littles to head back to school. We have been getting them ready over the last month. Finishing summer reading lists, school shopping, getting them up earlier and to bed earlier so they don’t get shocked into a change of schedule. But mostly I am ready for the incessant calls, “Mum, can I have this friend over?, “Mum, can I go here”, “Mum, can you bring me over to so and so’s house” “Mum, Mum, Mum, Mum, Mum” GAH! Sometimes I just want to say, “Do what ever the heck you want…just leave me along…I’m working here!” But then, that would probably be really bad parenting, right?

I have been in a little funk lately. All work and no play makes Laurie a dull girl. So, this past weekend my family and my bestie’s family went out for Chinese and Family Karaoke. It was hilarious and fun and EXACTLY what I needed. Really pumps you up when you can get out and shake it once and awhile, ya know? So, on this fine Tuesday, Let’s talk Pixels!
Another way to keep my mood going? Trend Hunting…Yup, I like to scour the internet for the hottest trends and try like heck to make sure that my business says hot and sassy. Even as I speak, I have about 100 images sitting in my database to be cataloged and added to the site. You will have to stay tuned because some of the images are SURE to become BEST SELLERS!
I have been in the printing business since I got out of college. My first job was at a printer supply company that sold everything from rolls of paper to gorgeous silk and my customers made signs to fine art reproduction. I have to admit, I was always drawn to the art side and probably have sold more canvas and watercolor paper than Michaels Craft Stores! And in all that time the bane of our existence was PIXELS! To make a really nice reproduction, you need smooth transitions of color. If we had a pixelated image, we started over…
So you can color me shocked that the latest craze is pixels. Who knew? But I do have to admit that I LIKE it! Below you will find my best and coolest examples of pixels.

Today, I am going to talk about “pinning” on social media boards. I am sure most of you by now know what Pinterest is. For those who don’t, it is a social media photo bookmarking sites. People from all over the world can find images from any website and pin to their special categorized boards. If you are redecorating your bedroom, you can pin images on a board called Master Bedroom and slowly figure out what you want and don’t want.
