So, I don’t know why I stopped writing so much. My blog is, for the most part, a great way to clear my head after a long day and show you all some of the really great things I have seen through the day in the interior design world with a heavy focus on wall murals and wallpaper (my well known obsession ).
But, that being said, I am about to share something with my readers I would not normally share. Since my last post, my mum was diagnosed with lymphoma again. It was earth shattering news to me. My mum has been cancer free for 10 years and always told she would have a slim chance of ever getting it again after 5 years. And, as Murphy’s Law would have it, we found out 2 days before she was moving from what was 5 miles from my house to 3000 miles to take on a new job in California. Exhausted and emotional were we all (and still are for the most part).
As I said, this week could not get over soon enough. I have 4 littles at home and sometimes feel more taxi driver than mum and THIS was one of those weeks. I am SURE some of you all have been there.
With all that time driving around, I was thinking about this secret I have been keeping. I have been collecting over 1000 new images to add to our offering at Customized Walls and I know you all want to see… Right?
Sneak Peek Time!
Our Vintage Poster collection is to die for. So many would make such excellent full wall art installations. How dramatic to have a HUGE piece of art on one wall. So modern!
But, let me first tell you about my night. If you know me or have read my bio, you know that I am raising my nephews and niece along with my daughter. My oldest nephew is about 6 months older than my daughter and they are in the same grade….which is now entering middle school. So, last night my nephew had his friend over and well, you could tell there was some crushing going on between my daughter and this boy. I had to pick up my daughter from track practice so decided to pick up a friend for my nephew at the same time. When we got home, she showered and came down with lip gloss on (because her lips were chapped- RIIIIIIGGGHHHHTT!) and then this boy would come and check on her every few minutes asking her over and over to come and play nerf guns with him. It was all so cute! My Belz is more the climbing trees and playing with legos kinda girl instead of the barbies and boys type, if you know what I mean. I hope that continues for at least a few more years. She is only 11 for goodness sake!
So, thinking of young crushes, I thought I would share some of my LOVE murals we have here at Customized Walls.
Hi there! Hope you all had a great weekend. It is certainly back to work this Monday morning here at Customized Walls. We have lots of web changes in the works and are all pulling lots of overtime to make sure the user experience on our site is fun and gets you to a design that is personal. We are all very excited. It’s all about making your wall murals and wallpaper something custom for you.
On that note, I am once again playing with our murals in room designs on www.olioboard.com
Olioboard is a fun way to play around with room design with tons of furniture options (or you can find your favorite furniture on the web, Pinterest, Loveit.com, etc) Its a great way to design your dream room with all your dream furnishings and accessories.
This week, I designed the following rooms:
Our golf mural is a big seller in our man cave category. I can picture it in a warm room while some guy is relaxing and watching the game with his pup. Our golf wall mural found here. You can check out my olio board with a list of furnishings here.
When I was a kid, I was pretty active in swimming and skiing. So much so that my Saturdays were usually booked. SO, I didn’t get to lounge around in my PJ’s a watch Saturday morning like so many of my friends. Finally, after feeling ripped off, my mum decided to tape cartoons for me so I would watch them on Sunday. Also, I would always be the first one to nab the Sunday Comics from the newspaper (still do)
In that spirit, here are some images I found funny this week.
From www.loveit.com, I found this cat chill in ridiculously funny. hehe
