So, I don’t know why I stopped writing so much. My blog is, for the most part, a great way to clear my head after a long day and show you all some of the really great things I have seen through the day in the interior design world with a heavy focus on wall murals and wallpaper (my well known obsession 
).
But, that being said, I am about to share something with my readers I would not normally share. Since my last post, my mum was diagnosed with lymphoma again. It was earth shattering news to me. My mum has been cancer free for 10 years and always told she would have a slim chance of ever getting it again after 5 years. And, as Murphy’s Law would have it, we found out 2 days before she was moving from what was 5 miles from my house to 3000 miles to take on a new job in California. Exhausted and emotional were we all (and still are for the most part).

How was your holiday weekend? I took a little time off with the littles and had an ABSOLUTE BLAST! For the Fourth, we went over one of my very best friend’s house (Miss Beverly). We went swimming at her town beach, cooked out, drank champagne, watched fireworks, and played Rock Band and it was EXACTLY. WHAT. I. NEEDED. So, much thanks to her wonderful family for having us over.
So, now it is Monday and it’s back to work. I came across this image and it REALLY summed up what we are trying to do here at Customized Walls.
Ok. I won’t start singing Somewhere Over the Rainbow…though you KNOW I would totally rock it. But I WILL tell you that rainbows are totally the hot new trend. I am really happy to see rainbows in all forms come back into style. They were totally my thing when I was in elementary school. I know I had Rainbow Brite dolls and definitely had rainbow shirts and sneakers. I was a cool little kid.
This past year, my family went on vacation to Hawaii. We probably saw 5 rainbows a day much to my amazement. So, when I started seeing rainbow decor everywhere, I was so psyched.
Hey there! How was your weekend? Mine was OK. My daughter was at my dad’s house all weekend and now all the kids are there. SOOOOO, my husband and I have 1 precious night to ourselves. We wanna do it up so we may go walk around Boston after work, have a little dinner, and stay out as late as we want.
